Talon/LPE maintains a corporate Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) that specifies the procedures for implementing projects, data collection and analyses, data verification/validation, report production, and peer review. Talon/LPE is ISO 9001 Compliant and maintained on the Department of Energy (DOE) Pantex Plant Qualified Supplier List as a Qualified Vendor. The pertinent items contained in Talon/LPE's QAPP are as follows:
- Senior management review of the study/project plans, methods, and deliverables
- Independent peer reviews of plans, methods, and deliverables
- Review of collected data and analysis results by the Project Managers and field personnel
- Random spot checks of field data, collection methods, and analytical processes
- Verification and validation of data with the sources of the data
- Assignment of staff with project experience in providing the required service
- Client satisfaction reviews performed by corporate officers
- Project staff has a common understanding of the focus and goal of the document and their roles on the project team
- Project staff selected to write technical portions of a document are technically qualified in the required area
- Depending upon the complexity and sensitivity of the project, the Senior Project Manager will serve as senior technical reviewer
- Senior Project Managers will establish internal quality checks throughout the project to provide early identification of potential problems and allow for corrective action
